Come join Main Roots Coffee on 3rd Friday (Friday, August 18th)  at 6:00pm to see Hannah Wichrowski who will be painting live in the shop using coffee.  Watch her paint in layers starting with the lightest and then adding more layers onto the darker areas after the first has dried. Mistakes made in coffee can be easily fixed by adding more water and using a paper towel to lift it off the page. Even after it has dried, water can be used to “erase” the coffee and fade the color in areas.

Hannah Wichrowski is going into her second year at Salisbury University this fall, majoring in Graphic Art and Biology. She works with a variety of media including watercolors, oil paints, fibre arts, digital photography, and even painting with coffee! Hannah also experiments with new ways to combine these traditional techniques and media into digital artworks. An example of her graphic design work can be seen on the cover of the St. Mary’s County Technology Handbook for 2016-2017.

Paintings will be on sale for those who are interested in purchasing a painting.
